The IntelliServer® RAS 2000 defines the new standard for advanced intelligent servers. It connects and operates seamlessly within virtually any network environment. It is the "all-in-one" box that truly eliminates your need to purchase multiple servers. The RAS 2000 simultaneously functions as a remote access server, a terminal server, a printer server, a Windows NT RAS server, a POS server and an Out-of-Band console management server.

Compared to fixed port servers, it is much easier and quicker to configure. The familiar Windows NT GUI provides many remote and local administration options including web-based configuration. Administration is independent of any operating system. Plus, the RAS 2000 provides the industry's fastest data transfer speeds of up to 921.6 Kbps.

Built in redundancy and the ability to operate from multiple servers on a network allows freedom of design in your network. It is compliant with Microsoft Windows NT RAS and UNIX platforms. For Unix users, TTY support is provided for legacy UNIX applications. Computone's customized network operation system provides a transparent UNIX or Windows NT RAS interface as well as the option of using Computone's easy to use proprietary interface.

Expand the RAS 2000 from 16 to 64 ports by simply sliding in additional Rack Expandable (REX) cards.  It is available with the  16 port RS-232 RJ-45 (10-pin full feature set, including data set ready and ring indicator) REX card. 

The RAS 2000 is a compact, high-performance RISC server. Its new RISC-860 card uses a MIPS-R3000 CPU. Processing speeds are maintained through use of advanced PC-100 SDRAM. Flash upgradeable software assures that the system is always up to date.

If you use TCP/IP and or Internet Services, then the RAS 2000 is for you. It provides transparent remote access to your Ethernet LANs and Internet services. It routes TCP/IP traffic using PPP, SLIP, CSLIP and RIP protocols. For NT RAS networks, it provides access to security features such as Dial Back, PAP, CHAP, Data Encryption, RADIUS and IP packet filtering. It can support up to 16 inbound and 64 outbound Telnet sessions simultaneously. Its extensive protocol support also includes rlogin, telnetd, reverse TCP, SNMP, BOOTP, DHCP, TFTP and RIP. 

Computone has designed the RAS 2000 to guarantee secure local and remote server management through a ssh® (secured shell) option for the United States. In addition, we also provide line by line event logging and system monitoring to easily troubleshoot your network.

The RAS 2000 is a 19-inch rack mount / desktop unit. We provide standard connection cables for DB-25 devices, DTE and/or DCE. This product is guaranteed with a 3 year limited hardware warranty.
